How will you contribute?

Providing creative and professional talent acquisition solutions in order to develop diverse talent pipelines and ensure the continued attraction of top talent across Canada;
Acting as the Senate's brand advisor, creating marketing and branding strategies as well as tools to promote the Senate to Canadians as an exciting employer;
Developing assessment tools and supporting assessments during the selection process;

Open to
The general public to staff one (1) indeterminate (permanent, full-time) position in the Human Resources Directorate.

This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

Prerequisites

Successful completion of a university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or another related field, OR an acceptable combination of education and experience related to the specialized activities;
Significant experience in conducting the full cycle recruitment for various levels of talent across a range of functions;
Experience building relationships and networks with key customers and organizations, including postsecondary institutions, professional and industry associations, and professional services firms;
Experience in making talent acquisition recommendations and providing expert advice on people centric programs, policies and initiatives;
Significant knowledge of talent acquisition and recruitment theories, principles, concepts, and strategies;
Knowledge of talent acquisition and recruitment best practices and industry trends, labour market trends, and talent availability;
Knowledge of sourcing tools including social media, professional networking sites and associations;
Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills as well as teamwork competencies to understand customer needs, develop effective talent acquisition solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
