This is a hybrid role with a minimum requirement to work in the office 2 days a week.

Your role


As Manager, Audit, Risk and Compliance (ARC) with T&I, you will report to the Senior Director, Governance and Information Security, and oversee a team of experts in internal audit management, technology risk management, corporate compliance as well as strategic and tactical reporting.

You will supervise the Technology & Infrastructure Risk Management Program for CBC/Radio-Canada, per established methods and procedures, as well as be responsible for co-ordinating and continuously improving T&I's internal audit process in conjunction with Internal Control, the internal auditor and various T&I stakeholders.


You will ensure the efficient handling of access-to-information requests, parliamentary inquiries, Board meeting preparations and T&I support activities by developing dashboards for the executive team.

To achieve these objectives, you will build and maintain a trusting relationship with T&I's extended management team.

This role requires a high degree of diligence, advanced communication skills as well as political savvy. It also requires the ability to quickly grasp complex strategic issues and find simple, innovative solutions to resolve them.


More specifically, as Manager, ARC, you will:

  • Supervise the team's activities, with a focus on:
  • The internal audit process involving T&I in conjunction with Internal Audit and Internal Control.
  • Ongoing maintenance of the T&I risk register and quarterly reporting of T&I risks to Finance.
  • Accesstoinformation requests, proactive disclosures and parliamentary inquiries requiring T&I input.
  • Defining and developing strategic and tactical management indicators for T&I and Infosec.
  • Ontime delivery of documents in preparation for Board of Directors' meetings.
  • Ensure an efficient and appropriate response to institutional compliance requests.
  • Continuously improve the risk management process with the goal of getting the T&I executive team to adopt a riskbased leadership approach.
  • Promote a datadriven leadership culture by providing the executive team with guidance in defining and implementing strategic indicators.
  • Structure team activities appropriately, prioritizing and assigning tasks so as to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Periodically report on team activities to various committees.
  • Promote T&I's peoplefocused values by developing an open, inclusive culture within the team.

What you bring:


  • At least three years' experience working within the governance, risk and/or compliance arena
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with corporate or CBC/Radio-Canada governance processes (including working with boards of directors)
  • Knowledge of and experience with internal audit processes
  • Knowledge of and experience with corporate compliance processes (access to information, proactive disclosures, parliamentary inquiries)
  • Ability to dialogue as well as build and maintain trusting relationships with executives
  • Strong business discipline
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, including the ability to articulate to nontechnical audiences
  • Excellent analytical, evaluative and problemsolving abilities
  • Excellent level of French or English. Intermediate level for the second language.
