Job Description:

Reporting to the Vice-President, the Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all corporate operations, processes and procedures comply with local laws and regulations:

Assess and identify potential compliance risks within the company.
Monitor all operational processes and procedures to ensure that the company complies with all local, state/provincial and federal regulations in the jurisdiction in which the company operates.
Design and develop programs in areas of regulatory compliance, responsible sourcing, and antimoney laundering.
Optimise existing processes and procedures and develop proposals for mitigating compliance risks.
Maintain a database with local, state/provincial and federal legislation and operating requirements.
Train and educate staff so that they are informed of any legal changes and updates to compliance guidelines.
Assess, report and monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the compliance program controls.
Participate in strategic business decisions.
Overall responsibility for compliance across all Honeycomb entities (Honeycomb Canada, Honeycomb USA and Phoenix Group Metals).

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Business, Economics, Operations, Finance, or applicable experience.
2+ years of audit experience in regulatory or compliance environment, a regulatory agency, risk management or other internal control functions (ex: Ministry of Transportation, Department of Transportation, Trade Compliance, Banking, Audit and/or Law firm)
Knowledge of the Catalyst Industry a strong asset.
