Job Description:

Reporting to the Vice-President, the Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all corporate operations, processes and procedures comply with local laws and regulations:

  • Assess and identify potential compliance risks within the company.
  • Monitor all operational processes and procedures to ensure that the company complies with all local, state/provincial and federal regulations in the jurisdiction in which the company operates.
  • Design and develop programs in areas of regulatory compliance, responsible sourcing, and antimoney laundering.
  • Optimise existing processes and procedures and develop proposals for mitigating compliance risks.
  • Maintain a database with local, state/provincial and federal legislation and operating requirements.
  • Train and educate staff so that they are informed of any legal changes and updates to compliance guidelines.
  • Assess, report and monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the compliance program controls.
  • Participate in strategic business decisions.
  • Overall responsibility for compliance across all Honeycomb entities (Honeycomb Canada, Honeycomb USA and Phoenix Group Metals).

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Economics, Operations, Finance, or applicable experience.
  • 2+ years of audit experience in regulatory or compliance environment, a regulatory agency, risk management or other internal control functions (ex: Ministry of Transportation, Department of Transportation, Trade Compliance, Banking, Audit and/or Law firm)
  • Knowledge of the Catalyst Industry a strong asset.
