Project Description:


Webequie First Nation and Marten Falls First Nation have partnered to undertake Environmental Assessments for all-season roads in the Ring of Fire area.

This new initiative, working with Ontario, will result in the development of a comprehensive workforce development strategy. It will also build community capacity related to workforce development and readiness. Combined, this will help to prepare community members to be active in a future labour market.

It will develop priority recommendations to guide implementation decisions, budgets, and next-step funding proposals, to advance Indigenous training and development participation in proposed Ring of Fire Road projects and community infrastructure initiatives.


Duties:


  • Manage the daytoday administrative functions of the project (e.g., coordinating and scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for staff).
  • Provide administrative and logístical support under the guidance of the Project Coordinator.
  • Organize and maintain files and records, both physical and digital.
  • Coordinate event planning and logistics, including vendor considerations and budget management.
  • Provide communication support and material development support for use with community partners, project team members, and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Assist with community data surveys, incommunity and offcommunity engagement plans and project reports as needed.
  • Provide other relevant administrative support to the project as needed.
