Position Overview
The Scheduling team is responsible for the creation and maintenance of schedules for residential departments, organization wide. This includes but not limited to, writing monthly schedules, covering vacation time, leaves of absences and sick calls.
This position will work closely with several departments to ensure scheduling budgets are met, recruitment needs are fulfilled and training requirements are reached.
Work location:
Hybrid, must reside in the province of Manitoba

Qualifications & Requirements

- Clear Criminal Record Check, Adult and Child Abuse Registry Checks
- Relevant certificate of degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences and / or Disability and Community Support Diploma is preferred
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory position considered an asset
- Demonstrated understanding of community living
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid work setting
- Problem solver who is able to effectively deal with a wide range of issues in a timely manner
- Excellent time management and organizational skills a must
Specific Responsibilities
Scheduling:
- Create and maintain designated department schedules
- Work closely with HR to identify and address scheduling concerns and variances
- Responsible for approval of vacation and leave requests, and scheduling replacement staff
- Provide and remove clear to work authorization for employees as directed by the Training or Human Resource departments.
Communication and Relationship Building:
- Create and maintain relationships with all Facility Managers within designated service group to ensure a clear understanding of the department, people supported and their needs
- Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the Recruitment and Retention Specialist ensuring that open positions and casual requirements are not overlooked
- Ensure that written and verbal communication is clear and effective on a consistent bases
- This position requires a clear understanding of the Collective Agreement and Manitoba Employment Standards
- Create and maintain a positive working relationship with the Property and Transitions Director of Services to ensure schedules reflect current funding and budgets and individual support needs
- Utilize the SMS system in Thrive to fill shifts as needed
Pay:
From $22.39 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
