The purpose of the position is to undertake the procurement of all infrastructure materials. This involves shared duties of tendering and creating Purchase Orders for several product categories.

Under the general direction of the Purchasing Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for processing requisitions, preparing and issuing request for quotations and developing purchase orders in SAP.

Qualifications:

Essential:


  • Accreditation or certification towards a professional purchasing/materials designation management (Supply Chain Management Association [SCMP]), or equivalent combination of work experience or training may be considered.
  • Experience in competitive procurement cycle including; tendering, evaluation of bids, and award of contracts, legal consideration and risk and contract management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Effective time management with the ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities with limited supervision.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare reports with analysis and conclusions.
  • Experience with contract administration processes which includes receipt of goods, acceptance criteria, invoicing and payment, change requests, overexpenditures, holdback management and close out of purchase order.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with integrity in a fair, consistent and transparent manner.
  • Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite, SAP or equivalent purchasing/financial management database systems.
