What to expect


As a Talent Acquisition Coordinator (CO-OP) reporting to the People Operations Manager, you will play an integral part of the People, Data & Operations team.

This role will be critical in elevating our team, with responsibilities such as:

As a key contributor in People & Business operations for recruitment and streamlining processes
For creating, maintaining and updating documentation required for all important aspects of departmental processes & operations
For conducting research of market trends & data to support decision-making for business growth purposes


Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition
Record all personal data in HRIS for leaves, turnover rates, personal information etc.
Intake prior to confirming comp, changes, JD (internal/external), posting approvals and adding to job boards/ATS
Coordinating meetings, interviews, events, etc. in Google Calendar and ATS
Assist and coordinate with pre-boarding and onboarding
Prepare employee file in HRIS system prior to starting (contracts & background checks)
Review and send out employment contracts with Adobe Sign
Contribute to the research and implementation of policies
Update and maintain HRIS and ATS including creating new hire profiles
Creating training content for hiring managers and/or future hires
Payroll
Coordinating and facilitating tax forms and employment information
Collect and upload payroll docs into HRIS system (bob)
Process documentation, optimization and maintenance
Gathering requirements and maintaining documentation on people ops
Creation and maintenance of a Handbook for this role and updating it as needed
Support updating job descriptions and cross-reference every time a new role goes live for hiring
Training & Development
Pre-boarding, Onboarding, Promotions and Offboarding process support (assisting and executing with Manager)
Administering policies and reference documents in HRIS system (bob)
Employee Relations and Ad Hoc Support
Follow-up with internal team member regarding completion of company to ensure company compliance
Coordinate training sessions and seminars that can be made reoccurring (quarterly or semi-annually)
Supporting aspects of recurring company events and ad-hoc socials
Providing cross-functional support for ad-hoc company initiatives and priorities
Support Researching Best Practices
Research trends within the Healthcare Tech sector and Hybrid working industry
Research and organize data on compensation structures & pay bands for new roles

Qualifications, knowledge and experience

Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with a co-op program, preferably in Human Resources
Knowledge of core functions within People Operations and/or Project Management is an asset
Work experience in an operations role or Start-Up setting would be beneficial

Relevant skills

Holds themselves to a high standard of integrity and can maintain confidentiality
Consideration for others and respect of boundaries and comfort levels
An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness
Thorough, with strong time management skills and attention to detail
Flexible and able to shift tasks and priorities when circumstances change
Familiarity with G-Suite, Microsoft Office, Mac OS
