About the role:

Responsible for the leading a team of senior leaders to achieve the organizations' sales and retention targets. Will develop and implement business development, client management and retention strategies that aligns with the company's overall vision. Collaborates with local and regional executives to develop industry-leading products that support company growth.

Is seen as an industry leader in providing advice to external partners and brokers on how to grow their Travel Insurance portfolios.


What you will do:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve organizational sales and retention goals for both strategic partnerships and broker segments
  • Actively work with key internal partners in product, actuary, and operations by providing market insights that allow for the development of innovative products to support our go to market strategy
  • Work closely with the CEO and senior management team on strategic decisions relating to strategic growth, inspiring employees, achieving operational targets and generating business results
  • Lead, direct, and control all Sales and Service activities to meet the company's short and longterm business objectives
  • Oversee first line of defense of compliance and regulatory issues that impact the sales growth of the organization
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage the most complex or strategically important client initiatives that will contribute to the company's short and longterm business goals
  • Establish budgets, plans, policies, and programs that will achieve strategic objectives
  • Collaborate regionally and globally on projects and initiatives
  • Establish highlevel, significant relationships with potential clients, partners, key decisionmakers, and industry leaders to promote the company's products and services
  • Lead the most important, complex, controversial or difficult meetings and negotiations with potential clients and business partners to pursue business opportunities and protect the company's business interests
  • Represent the company in interactions with external parties in order to protect the company's interests and reputation
  • Develop and manage a formal sales process that positions all members of the team to have a focused approach to sales and relationship management

What it takes:


  • University Degree in a related discipline coupled with a minimum of 15 years' experience in the field of Account Management and/or New Business Development, with a minimum of 10 years' experience at a senior level developing and executing new business, client management and retention strategies through multiple channels
  • Minimum 10 years' experience managing people
  • Possess a strong understanding of the industry, market, client, business development and governmental trends affecting AGA's competitiveness
  • Ability to think strategically forward in a 35 year time span and be able to develop strategies and plans to meet futurefacing goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to present information to a variety of individuals in a clear and concise manner, at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to work a variety of different personalities and to maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion and confidence at all times and in all situations. Must be able to maintain composure in difficult circumstances
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisionmaking without direct authority. Ability to exercise good judgement
  • Proven results oriented leader with a demonstrated ability to gain the respect and trust of employees at all levels in the organization
  • Experience working in a matrix environment preferred
