Position Summary:


Reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing, the Manager, Strategic Sourcing will collaborate with stakeholders to create and implement innovative sourcing and demand management strategies that align with business objectives, minimize risks associated with supplier spending, and achieve cost savings.

Work closely with different departments within the organization and external vendors to ensure effective procurement and supply chain management. Ultimately, this role plays a critical function in supporting the organization's success by managing supplier relationships and spending effectively.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Managing sourcing categories endtoend (Data collection, Market Research, Planning, Stakeholder Management, Supplier Selection, Due Diligence, RFI, RFP, Contract Negotiation, Execution, Evaluation, etc)
  • Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships with suppliers at the executive level
  • Negotiating costeffective contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality
  • Working with stakeholders to develop and implement innovative sourcing and demand management strategies to achieve business and cost management objectives
  • Evaluating sourcing procedures and provide advice and guidance of improvement strategies to senior management for approval
  • Conducting market research and developing business cases to assess opportunities
  • Gathering industry knowledge and communicate market trends affecting the assigned spend categories proactively to internal stakeholder
  • Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.
  • Leading change management programs of varying scope and type
  • Creating dashboards, KPIs, cost estimates and forecasts to ensure accurate and up to date reporting on project as well as provide insights and recommendations
  • Collaborating with QA and R&D to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities
  • Reducing/mitigating cost with optimization of products design in collaboration with supplier(s) and R&D
  • Maintaining knowledge of leading procurement practices and promote adoption of procurement standards
  • Hiring, training, and managing procurement department employees.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, logistics, or in a related field;
  • Master's degree in business or specialization in advanced procurement management will be advantageous;
  • At least 7 years' strategic sourcing experience in a related industry;
  • In depth knowledge of sourcing/procurement processes, procedures, and controls; relevant risk and regulatory requirements;
  • Proficiency in excel, power bi, dashboards, KPIs, forecasts and estimation;
  • Experience in compiling, synthesizing insights from a variety of research sources;
  • Willingness to travel to develop, promote, and maintain strategic sourcing relationships at the executive level;
  • Able to work independently and regularly handles nonroutine situations;
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, and to implement continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Ability to manage change, adapt to new technologies, processes, and policies, and lead teams through transitions;
  • Willingness to accept broader work or accountabilities as needed;
  • Advanced ability to collaborate and negotiate.
