Job Summary:

HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) OFFICER L0- Providing recommendations on possible courses of action and products to human resources Advisor and/or management by conducting research, preliminary interviews, an analysis of requirements and/or issues to be addressed and/or identifying precedents;

  • Analyzing and processing routine client requests and developing justifications to support actions taken;
  • Coordinating and initiating action to assist in resolving information gaps by referring, discussing and providing alternatives, promoting human resources principles/best practices and/or providing data;
  • Maintaining and updating human resources documentation, databases and files within assigned areas;
  • Providing inputs and recommendations for changes to human resources procedures and practices.


HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) ADVISOR L0- Acting as a resource person by providing advice on human resources related matters and policy interpretation to managers and employees, as well as making recommendations on problem resolution.

This can also include developing and delivering information sessions on human resources related matters to managers and employees;

  • Responding to the client's needs by providing expertise/advice on various human resources matters;
  • Assessing human resources processes and activities to enhance their effectiveness and ensure they are conducted according to policies;
  • Conducting special projects and making recommendations on improvements to the program;
  • Researching and gathering information, analyzing data, writing reports and memoranda;

Education:

EDUCATION HR OFFICER L0- Undergraduate degree* and two (2) years of relevant experience required* or

  • University certificate or College diploma (2 year program) and three (3) years of relevant experience required* or
  • Human resources certification recognized by the Canadian Council of Human Resources Association and four (4) years of relevant experience required*EDUCATION HR ADVISOR L0
  • Undergraduate degree and three (3) years of relevant experience required** or
  • University certificate or College diploma (2 year program) and four (4) years of relevant experience required** or
  • Human resources certification recognized by the Canadian Council of Human Resources Association and five (5) years of relevant experience required**Education specialized in human resources, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences or other field related to the position;
The educational program must be from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada.


If you completed a program outside of Canada you will be required to obtain proof of a Canadian equivalency at your expense through a recognized credential assessment service.
