ETO Engineering has an immediate opening for a Junior-Intermediate SCADA System Specialist.We are looking for a college or engineering graduate with 0-5 years of experience who will be able to deliver projects for SCADA system integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
The job responsibilities of this position include the following:- Plan, assess, design, programme, commission, and troubleshoot SCADA systems at water and wastewater infrastructure facilities.
- Develop process control narratives and operations manuals for the water and wastewater facilities
- Develop PLC ladder logic for Allen Bradley and GE PLCs.
- Develop HMI graphics using Factory Talk View SE & ME, Wonderware, iFix, Ignition SCADA platforms.
- Conduct Software Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Attend site commissioning
- Collect, assimilate, and manage data for engineering and administrative work
- Project coordination with other internal/external team members
- Recognize, define and resolve problems within assigned area
- Prepare various technical and administrative documents
- Assist contract administrators with shop drawing review, RFI responses, operations manual preparations, and commissioning planning, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Selfmotivated problem solver, with attention to details
- University or college graduate with engineering background, preferably in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering. Eligible for registration as CET or P.Eng.
- Proficient in PLC/HMI programming of major hardware and software platforms: Allen Bradley, GE, Wonderware, Ignition, iFix, etc.
- Experience with electrical systems
- Experience in industrial network: Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet etc.
- Understanding and knowledge of water and wastewater treatment
- Understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, MCC, VFD, motor control schematics.
- Understanding of the design of control systems including instrumentation, relay control panels, PLC panels, and SCADA networks
- Must have logical thinking and strong technical writing skills
- A desire to work under pressure in an engineering firm
- Ability of informing, listening, and dealing with ambiguity
- Knowledge of engineering principles and standards related to assigned engineering discipline
- Must be proficient at AutoDesk drafting software package Auto CAD
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and MS Project
