Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination from site measurement to metal fabrication to installation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of project milestones as per the schedule.
  • Coordinate work with other team members (project manager, production manager, designers, and other professionals) to ensure project tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Play a key role in supporting project manger by plan, organize and schedule projects including coordinating installation manpower, equipment, subcontractors.
  • Analyze and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to facilitate project planning and execution.
  • Work closely with the design and engineering teams to address any discrepancies or modifications.
  • Conduct accurate site measurements to gather essential project data.
  • Ensure the site conditions and project requirements are inline with production.
  • Coordinate logistics for onsite activities, including deliveries, hardware, tools, equipment and installation.
  • Liaise with our installation teams, other trades and general contractor to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Resolve any siterelated challenges in realtime to maintain project timelines.
  • Create and update accurate records, contracts, and other documentation.
  • Manage project startup and closeout documents and ensure completeness.
  • Keep all managers aware of the progress on projects and prepare progress reports regularly.
  • Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects.
  • Develop detailed project schedules and track the progress of contract milestones.
  • Monitor and manage any scope changes and RFI that take place during the project.
  • Obtain the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites.
  • Monitor production, quality, and purchasing activities to ensure smooth order execution.
  • Assisting to generate and maintain Project Submittal process, including shop drawings and logs ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Assist project manager with proposed change order process and project RFQs receive and administer change documents, compile subcontractor pricing, and prepare material takeoffs for own work scopes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or construction management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication is an added qualification.
  • Proven ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Organization skills, problem solving, integrity, and task prioritization.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead a team, set deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs (MS Outlook, Excel & Word) and AutoCAD
  • Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, Ontario building cods, and legal regulations

Salary:
$60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:
