    About the Team: Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Controller - will be responsible for partnering with the Fulfillment Center (FC) team leaders to ensure we meet our commitments to our customers, to our employees and to our shareholders.

    The person will work with the leaders of the FC Fulfillment, Supply Chain, Engineering & Facilities and Operational Excellence departments to support the delivery of Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Accounting, Operational Accounting, Tax and Treasury activities.

    The Controller will be the first point of contact for the FC leadership team for all Finance-related issues. In doing so, the person will lead a focused team of FC analysts, leverage the subject matter expertise of colleagues from the Finance Department (Accounting, FP&A, Tax and Treasury) and interface with colleagues from the Growth, Technology, Human Resources and Legal teams as needed.

  • Supporting the Financial planning and analysis activities for the FC, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, monthly variance analysis for key financial metrics (e.g., cost per unit, cost per order) and their underlying drivers, and supporting follow-up actions and ad hoc improvement projects;
  • Supporting the Financial accounting activities (including cost accounting, inventory reconciliation and capital expenditures) and Operational accounting activities (including verifying major purchase orders, to ensure accruals are accurately captured);
  • Supporting the Tax activity, Treasury activities and the annual field examination audit;
  • Developing the mid-long term strategy to automate the financial reporting to ensure rigorous tracking of internal efficiencies while documenting business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Qualifications

    How To Excel In This Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with a Professional designation (CPA);
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in progressive accounting roles including 5 years as a head controller in a retail distribution / manufacturing site;
  • Advanced level of Excel;
  • High proficiency in English and French written and verbal communication skills.
