Account Manager (Outside Sales) - Northern Ontario: Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins

Wage range:
$ 60,000 Base. Plus variable Compensation.


Schedule:
Days: 8:30 - 5:00, Monday - Friday

Account Manager (Outside Sales) for the

Northern

Ontario Area. This position requires frequent travel in and around Northern Ontario.

Timmins, Thunder Bay, Sudbury. This position will report to the

General Manager of the Barrie Branch.

Business Development

  • Identify and solicit potential clients for sales opportunities by aggressively following up on leads
  • Travel to current and potential clients, especially in the Northern Ontario region
  • Identify and assess customer needs, show customers how the products and services being offered satisfy those requirements and recommend the appropriate product and service
  • Develop, nurture, establish, and maintain customer relationships
  • Maintain and update customer contact database on a regular basis to ensure account information is accurate
  • Coordinate, implement and participate in trade shows as required.

Customer Service

  • Provide full customer service to ensure customer satisfaction before, during and after the sales transaction
  • Collaborate with customers to accurately forecast their potential product requirements on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Communicate with other sales, engineering, and production personnel to ensure customer orders are accurately processed and delivered on time and to spec
  • Respond to all product and service inquiries promptly and efficiently.

Product Sales and Development

  • Participate in strategic planning process for sales department
  • Promote and sell WBM products and services to new and existing clients while employing ethical business practices
  • Negotiate and close sales deals that will ensure the profitability of WBM and maximize the capability of the production department
  • Support the development of information packages for presentation to customers that contains marketing brochures, reports and proposals
  • Identify and accurately relay pertinent customer information to the engineering department for product development.

After Sales and Technical Services:


  • Provide ongoing support to clients after the sale to resolve problems and address concerns that will satisfy both the customer and WBM
  • Work closely with WBM's Warranty Department to help troubleshoot technical problems relating to products and services
  • Provide local support to WBM customers as required.

Product Training

  • Keep abreast of the development of new products and services
  • Conduct oneonone training, seminars or workshops to customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of WBM services and products.

Budgeting

  • Manage an annually assigned annual sales budget to control expenses and ensure profitability
  • Record and submit accurate expense claims on timely basis to accounting
  • Support the collection of receivables from customers when required.

Reporting

  • Compile, write, and submit accurate monthly sales reports prior to deadlines
  • Assist and provide progress reports to customers.

Other

  • Perform other duties as required.

Your qualifications:

  • Minimum Post-Secondary Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have 5 years of directly related industry experience with a proven track record in technical sales of heavy equipment and attachments.
