Repair Technician - Oakville, Canada - Winmar Mississauga/ Oakville

Description

• Will demonstrate skills in the safe operation of hand and power tools.
• Provide sound cleaning practices at customer job sites and in the warehouse for content processing, including but not limited to packing, listing, photographing, manipulating, and transporting content when necessary.
• Assists with demolition and debris removal as required.
• Set up and take down poly containment and drop sheets to accommodate work.
• Knowledgeable in building code and construction math
• Experienced in the installation of insulation, vapor barrier and drywall repairs.
• Experience in finishing carpentry skills including cutting, and installing wood framing, trim, baseboard, casing, doors, frames, and sheathing.
• Ability to build, erect and secure temporary and permanent partitions using a variety of building materials.
• Ability to take direction and work independently. Problemsolving skills while on site are required.
• Will practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe and noncluttered worksite.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines.
• Knowledge of construction materials and their use
• Ensure attention to detail and a keen sense of safeguarding other people's property and information.
• Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including the safe operation of machines, equipment, and vehicles.
• Comply with all Winmar policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements.
• Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting the completion of the job to the appropriate person.
• This role could be required to act as a "lead" periodically as designated by their manager.
