Description

Research Assistants are normally students, in a University of Winnipeg undergraduate program, employed to assist with tasks related to research.

Work is performed within defined guidelines and under supervision of a more senior researcher or faculty member.

Position Overview:

Duties:

Perform academic research and experiments, monitor and document research status and findings:
Employee will perform empirical experiments and analyses of data and present insights.
Assist in data analysis and interpretation.
Employee will be responsible for implementing machine learning algorithms to analyze available data, make predictions, test predictive performances for different predictive models, and report findings.
Assist with duties related to the production of articles, publications, reports and presentations.
Employee will be responsible for preparing the Data Analysis and Results and Discussion sections for the manuscript.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or other related fields. Evidence of enrolment in or completion of graduate programs will be an added advantage.
Software: R or Python.
Research writing.

The period of work will be from
June 3, August 30, 2024 and the estimated total hours of work will be
20-240 hours.
