Today is the day to boost your career Pinchin is seeking a Geoscientist to join our Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation Services team in one of our Northeastern Ontario offices.

A Day in the life of a Geoscientist at Pinchin:

Work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technologists/technicians performing general geotechnical responsibilities
Conduct materials testing and inspection services during construction
Assist senior staff with the completion of geotechnical investigations which will include both field and officebased work
Develop technical skills by assisting the senior staff with various geotechnical analyses
Assist senior staff with the preparation of technical proposals and reports
Liaise with clients and contractors
Develop business development skills to continue to foster existing client relationships and build new ones

What you bring to the Pinchin team:

A degree or diploma in a related discipline, preferably in civil, geological or geotechnical engineering
C.E.T. or E.I.T. designations or working towards will be considered an asset
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
CCIL Concrete certification considered an asset
Working knowledge of various geotechnical instrumentation, survey methods and materials testing will be considered an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
Excellent technical writing skills
Valid driver's license, insurance & personal vehicle (work related travel expenses will be compensated)
Availability to travel for work within Northeast Ontario. Occasional travel within Ontario, other jurisdictions and provinces may be required
Availability to work outside of core business hours
