    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive Cloud Modernization: Architect and execute the transition from a monolithic desktop application into scalable, AWS‑hosted microservices.
    • Own the API Ecosystem: Lead the evolution of our public‑facing APIs and customer web applications, ensuring top‑tier reliability and performance.
    • Mentor and Lead: Guide a talented remote development team, translating complex business requirements into clear technical roadmaps and actionable tasks.
    • Ensure Architectural Excellence: Establish high standards for documentation and design, ensuring all services are built for long‑term scalability and cross‑divisional integration.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • AWS Expert: 5+ years of experience building and managing cloud‑based systems on AWS.
    • C# Backend Pro: Deep proficiency in backend development using C# is required.
    • Architectural Visionary: Proven track record in microservices decomposition, API design, and distributed systems.
    • Clear Communicator: Natural communicator with proven talent for documenting technical plans and leading offshore engineering teams.

    Bonus Points For

    • Experience with Geospatial, GIS, or mapping technologies.
    • Knowledge of Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) or Event‑Driven Architecture.
    • Background in API‑first product development and cross‑enterprise integrations.
    • Experience working with or leading international teams.
