    Description

    Job Description

  • Preparing general and detailed mechanical layout drawings.
  • 3D modelling of process equipment based on 2D drawings.
  • Importing vendor-supplied 3D equipment models in stp format into project model.
  • 3D modelling of piping systems.
  • Preparing mechanical details
  • Preparing piping plans, orthographic and isometric drawings.
  • Preparing piping support details.
  • Reviewing vendor and other discipline drawings for conformity with project requirements.
  • Working with project engineers in determining drawing requirements.
  • Conducting field measurements and verification of existing systems.

    • Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited technologist or technician course or equivalent combination of academic training and practical experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Strong experience with 3D design software PDMS and/or E3D.

    • Assets

  • Knowledge of SmartPlant 3D and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D
  • Knowledge of pipe support design
  • Knowledge of piping layout conventions.
