The Quebec Mental Health Alliance (hereinafter "the Alliance") is a brand-new initiative financed in partnership by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé and Janssen (Partenariat Innovation-Québec - JANSSEN; PIQJ).

The Alliance brings together Quebec's three University Institutes in Mental Health (IUSM), namely IUSM Douglas, IUSM Montreal and IUSM Quebec (CERVO), around a central objective: to put in place an inter-institutional strategy to target priority areas for research in mental health, and to accelerate our progress through the development of joint activities based on a critical mass of researchers.


Its activities will be coordinated around three axes: Valorization of existing mental health data, Collection of new shared data, Development of innovative mental health interventions.

The Alliance will be coordinated administratively from the Douglas Research Centre.


Position summary


The Alliance coordinator will be responsible for organizing the Alliance's various bodies, monitoring its development indicators and participating in the various meetings essential to the implementation of planned activities.

The person selected for this role will also be responsible for knowledge mobilization and liaison activities between the three axes, as well as with the clinical community.

Coordination will be supported by the Scientific Directors of the three IUSMs and/or their delegates.


Description of tasks

  • Coordinate research activities between several research groups
  • Develop the Alliance's transparency component, including a dashboard to report on Alliance activities and website content
  • Ensure the establishment and followup of the Alliance's various committees, including their regular meetings
  • Draft Alliance activity reports
  • Participate in the preparation of Alliance strategic and operational documents
  • Develop and manage Alliance project budgets
  • Plan and organize meetings and events, and support networking between key members of the research teams
  • Act as ambassador for the Alliance at conferences, meetings and other gatherings

Required qualifications

  • Master's degree in a biology or healthrelated discipline, with preference for mental health and/or neurosciences
  • 2 years' experience in project coordination
  • Experience in the health and social services sectors and/or in a research environment
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience may also be taken into consideration._

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism
  • Bilingual (reading, writing, speaking) French and English
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple files and priorities in a complex context
  • Work autonomy
  • Excellent writing skills

Need to travel ?


The position involves occasional travel to ensure proper coordination with the two other sites involved in the Alliance (notably East of Montreal and Quebec City).


Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 36 months


Pay:
$55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
