Must have in-depth knowledge of electronics pertaining to intrusion alarm, access control, IP surveillance and other IOT systems. We offer a fast-paced and challenging work environment with the opportunity to gain experience and grow your career.

General Role Description
The Installer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security systems for residential and commercial clients.

They will use the installation blueprints and plans from the Installation Manager and the Project Managers (as required) to complete the project installations/service calls.

We expect all Installers to represent New Age Group in a professional manner in line with our values of a leadership mindset, people development, team, and client focused.

Though based in Vaughan you may be required to travel to job sites throughout and out of the region.

The Installer will be required to stand for prolonged periods of time and must be capable of lifting equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.

General Duties/Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

Work with the Senior Project Manager and Lead Remote Specialist, to follow drawings, to complete the installation of all ELV components.
Working under the supervision of Installation and Service Manager/Senior Installer to complete all assigned projects and service calls.
Submits reports and makes recommendations to the Installation and Service Manager/Senior Installer regarding issues or challenges with the products, installation process or progress, or other issues that affect the installations of the projects/service calls.
The Installer will be responsible to ensure that they and fellow Installers will be onsite with all equipment, materials, and other pertinent tools required to complete their jobs.
Update projects/service calls drawing with all necessary information (ie, model #, height of the installations, cable routes, etc.).
Complete assigned tasks and projects as required by the Installation Manager, Senior Installer, and/or the Senior Project Manager (as needed).
Follow all Health and Safety Protocols and Guidelines.

Skills, Education and Experience

Electronics Engineering Technician Certificate or Related Technical School Diploma
2+ years of experience in an alarm service technician/installer role (preferred)
Knowledge and ability to use power tools with appropriate training for powered equipment and lifts etc.
Able to lift cameras, wall boxes, and typical equipment associated with the security industry
Able to work at heights on a lift or scaffold etc. (with lift and fall prevention training, etc.)
Possess a valid Ontario Driver's License (G level) with a clean driving history
Speak, read and write fluent English
Attention to detail
Mandatory criminal background check
