Within the context of a person and family-centered model of care and in accordance with Northern Health's vision of an idealized system of services built on a foundation of Primary Health Care, the Primary Care Physiotherapist works collaboratively with interprofessional teams to develop a plan of care and deliver health services coordinated through the Primary Care Home.
The Primary Care Physiotherapist practices in accordance with the professional standards and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia.
The Primary Care Physiotherapist provides competent, safe, and ethical care for people and their families in settings such as physician practices, homes, facilities, and communities, and applies the principles of evidence-informed practice to achieve effective outcomes related to their participation in valued activities.
Through clinical assessment, treatment planning, recommended interventions, and follow up, the physiotherapist contributes to the fulfillment of the overall plan of care developed by the interprofessional team and informed by the person's personal goals for care.
The Primary Care Physiotherapist will support people and their families to achieve and maintain optimal health by performing the duties and responsibilities outlined below.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday, Friday, Days - 07:00 to 15:00New Wage:
As of April 1, 2023, the new wage is: $ $51.40/hour Dunrovin Park Lodge is a complex care facility with 117 beds. The facility consists of complex care, hospice, respite and special care unit. Maple House is a secured unit with 20 beds and one respite bed specifically for residents requiring more supervision. Hospice Care Unit has three Hospice Palliative care beds and three respite beds. There is a Volunteer Program in place to accompany Residents on social outings, appointments, and provide hospice support. Hairdressing and barber services are available on site for a fee determined by the service provider. Dunrovin also provides an on-site integrated community adult day program, operating 4 days a week. Quesnel has a population of 10, local residents and is one of the central interior's oldest cities and home to the world's largest gold pan. Nestled on the banks of the Fraser and Quesnel rivers, Quesnel is the commercial centre of the North Cariboo.
