Purpose of Job

This role contributes to the overall success of Global Risk Management's AML/ATF team by analyzing and improving client risk rating models thereby enhancing operating efficiency and is conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.


Key Job Accountabilities

  • Creation and maintenance of documentation for models and for the results data analysis
  • Collaborating and coordinating with teams from model validation, internal audit, and external audit to ensure that models meet all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate complex data findings and insights to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Support the communication with first and second lines of business and other stakeholders, and recommending changes to AML/ATF client risk rating models as appropriate
  • Support the communication with model users to ensure that model limitations are properly understood, and that models meet model governance/usage requirements

Skills, Experiences and Functional Competencies

  • Experience with statistical modeling and data science methods; programming in Python (familiarity working with popular libraries for data science, machine learning, and visualization: such as Numpy, Pandas, Scikitlearn, Matplotlib, Seaborn, ggplot2), querying using SQL or any SQLlike language is preferred, experience with Apache Spark is beneficial
  • Experience with databases such as Oracle or SQL Server, as well as big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or other distributed computing frameworks
  • Experience with cloudbased infrastructure and tools, (specifically GCP) and either Linux and/or BitBucket is beneficial
  • Nice to have experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
  • Strong communication (both oral and written) and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment

Education and Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher within STEAM, (science, technology, engineering, analytics, or mathematics), statistics, data science, artificial intelligence, computer science, computer engineering, financial modelling or related
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred
