HR/LR Assistant (Permanent)

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources and Labour Relations, you will be responsible for performing a broad range of administrative duties within the Hydro Human Resources and Labour Relations Department.

You will support the critical HR functions of Recruitment, Labour Relations, Occupational Health, Leadership Development, Performance Management and Training. You will also provide administrative support to the HR/LR Manager and team members.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

supporting recruitment processes including job and exit interview scheduling, and probationary review administration; supporting Occupational Health processes including coordination of ergonomic assessments; coordinating training request approvals and data entry into the Learning Management System; creating, coordinating and/or preparing reports using Microsoft Excel and JD Edwards; supporting Labour Relation processes including corresponding with the union business office; coordinating internal training sessions and meetings, including documenting minutes as well as managing various calendars.


You possess a Certificate or Diploma in office administration or executive assistant and have a minimum of five (5) years recent and relevant executive assistant or office assistant experience.

You must be highly proficient in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with HRIS databases is an asset. A combination of comparable education and experience may be considered.
