Location: 2 Copper Rd., Brampton, ON

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Under general supervision, operates road graders or rubber tire loader for purposes of road construction & maintenance and snow removal.


What you will do in this role:

  • Carries out assignments as required in the operation of road and construction maintenance and snow removal
  • Accountable for all tools, equipment and vehicles as assigned and alerts Supervisor of problems and damages as incurred
  • Performs daily circle check of assigned vehicles and may assist in or perform minor vehicle maintenance/repair duties
  • Executes duties in a tactful and courteous manner, maintains a neat appearance and portrays a "positive" image of the Region
  • Accurately completes forms and reports as required
  • Applies safety precautions and procedures and reports Health and Safety hazards
  • Required to take part in standby rotation
  • Performs other related duties as assigned including duties of lower rated classifications

What this role requires:


  • Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of job related experience
  • Class "DZ" license in good standing
  • Ability to operate a rubber wheeled loader and road grader
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Capable of accurately completing work forms and reports
  • Capable of performing minor maintenance on equipment
  • Physically able to perform all the requirements of the position
  • Training in Commercial Vehicle Operations Registrations (CVOR) is required
  • Ability assessment will be conducted by Fleet Safety
