    Job Overview
    Reporting to the Executive Chef, this person will assist in supervising and executing food production under the pastry section for all food outlets, including banquet events and other functions at The Boulevard Club; as well as supervise food production personnel, assist with food production tasks as needed and assure that quality and cost standards are consistently attained.

    Specific duties would include, but are not limited to:
    • Executes, guides and assists in all preparation of line mise en place and production.
    • Supervises and assists in training food production personnel.
    • Assists and aids the Executive Chef to design all menus and producing recipe listings and preparation instructions for efficient costing and pricing.
    • Sources new products to ensure The Boulevard Club is recognized as a Food & Beverage destination while training the pastry team on cutting-edge techniques.
    • Assists with monthly inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning and issuing for food production.
    • Assists in food procurement, delivery, storage and issuing of food items.
    • Consistently maintains standards of quality, cost, visual appeal and flavor of foods.
    • Prepares reports and schedules, costs menus, and performs other administrative duties as assigned.

    Job Qualifications
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen.
    • Experience in a private club or similar environment is an asset.
    • Completion of Red Seal Certification preferred and Food Handler Certification.
    • Knowledge of Labour Cost Control and Food Cost Control.
    • Knowledge of menu development and Health and Safety Sanitation Standards.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
    • Proficient and sufficient degree of computer literacy – MS Office, Jonas software or equivalent.
