Position:


Responsibilities include:


  • Conduct in vivo PK/PD and efficacy studies by organizing, executing, and analyzing results to support drug discovery projects.
  • Monitor rodent behavior to ensure animal well being
  • Prepare clear and concise technical reports, study protocols and data presentations and maintain an accurate lab notebook
  • Contribute to vivarium maintenance and quality
  • Contribute to and participate in the development and maintenance of a positive teamfocused company culture

Location:


  • This is an onsite position located in Chinook's Vancouver BC office

Education, Experience, and Skills:


Required:


  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree with a minimum of 2 years postundergraduate research experience and/or in vivo pharmacology experience in an academic, pharmaceutical, or biotech setting
  • Handson experience performing in vivo studies with rodents, including animal handling and behavior monitoring, multiple routes of dose administration (IV, PO, SC, IM, etc.), blood collection, dissection techniques, necropsies, evaluation of PD and disease endpoints
  • Organize activities to perform and analyze in vivo studies
  • Experience working in a teambased environment

Preferred:


  • Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO setting
  • Direct experience with animal models of kidney disease
  • Experience designing in vivo experiments to support project goals
  • Strong team player, able to multitask and deliver results with a high degree of technical precision and in a timely manner and with high personal and ethical standards.

$ $50.00 (Hourly)
