    Job Description

    Fugro Geophysical service line provides geophysical surveys that maps out the ocean floor and underneath to provide geophysical data, utilizing sonar technologies to do. The geophysical surveys involves a series of techniques and algorithms applied to raw survey data to extract meaningful information about subsurface features. It includes steps such as data quality control, noise removal, filtering, and data enhancement. These processes aim to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio, improve resolution, and create interpretable images or models of the subsurface.

    The Data Processing Manager is responsible to provide support and assistance to the Data Processing Manger in all facets of responsibilities. Entails project assignments, conducting meetings with external and internal clients. Provides consultation on projects, input for major proposal coordination, preparation and technical assessment. Engages with the Regional Technical Manager to ensure alignment with and support for strategic developments.

  • Assist in developing the processing workflow for complex nonstandard projects.
  • Works closely with the Data Processing Manager to ensure timelines and work procedures are being adhered to.
  • Works closely with respective project and operational managers to plan and scope appropriate resources for upcoming projects, understands goals, and processing requirements.
  • Serves the company in data processing execution and delivery of services, identifying and implementing efficiency gains.
  • Resolves software issues with external and internal software vendors.
  • Collaborates with global counterparts regarding key software vendor roadmaps to influence and maximize value.
  • Acts as technical lead for tools and supportive workflows for the entire life cycle of acquisition, processing, data management through preparation of final deliverables; ensures tools and workflows are maximized, procedures are well-established, and staff are appropriately trained on their use.
  • Acts as an internal consultant for technical considerations related to commercial bids and key project preparation.
  • Acts as strategic Product Owner from time to time for R & D projects related to the data processing roadmap; defines requirements and ensures the product is fit for purpose and successfully implemented into operations.
  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and maintain composure under tight deadlines.
  • Team Lead: Leads and directs a group of two or more individuals. No authority for personnel actions associated with supervisory status.
  • Job Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work Canada, without restrictions.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
  • Possess an associate degree in Surveying and Mapping.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in Surveying and Mapping or Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Have 10 year or more experience in data processing, project management, or similar roles in geophysical/surveying industry.
  • Have 15 years or more experience in data processing, project management, or similar roles in geophysical/surveying industry preferred.
