Reporting to the Operations Manager, the trainer occasionally travels to other branches or customer sites within BC to provide safety training support.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and lead equipment operator safety training programs
- Train customers in safe and proper methods of forklift and compact equipment operations
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' of equipment operating experience on various types of equipment (material handling, compact construction, aerial, etc.).
- Strong oral (publicspeaking) and written communication skills
- Strong listening skills
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Willing to travel to jobsites to deliver safety training and evaluate equipment operators' performance
- Team player with selfconfidence and professional appearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- BCDL with clean abstract
- Training certifications on equipment operations
- WHMIS and TDG
- Logistics, warehousing or construction industry experience
- Experience in administering and leading training programs (Operator Safety Training and Train the trainer certifications can be provided for the right applicant)
Compensation package:
- $25-$27 per hour base pay depending on the experience and qualifications.

Working Conditions:
The Equipment Safety trainer is based out of the Surrey office and works 40 hours per week on average, Monday to Friday.
