Job Summary:


The
Food Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing multiple conference centers, ensuring that all protocols are met; while leading the servers to provide excellent customer service.

Now, if you were to come on board as one of our
Food Service Supervisors, we'd ask you to do the following for us:

  • Hands-on support for all events ensuring service standards is maintained at all times
  • Liaise with the Service Coordinators in planning, organizing and executing all events
  • Supervise all parameters that may affect the guests; experiences, such as room temperature, lighting and overall appearance of the rooms
  • Effective staffing management, awareness of costs, and labour oversight for all Compass employees
  • Assign tasks to all servers and monitoring their work to ensure it's carried out effectively
  • Ensure Conference Centre protocol is being followed
  • Solve problems and accommodated changes during events in a proactive manner
  • Maintain effective communication with all other unit supervisors and managers
  • Liaise with the mobile tech/porters to ensure the quality and accuracy of the room setups
  • Responsible to report any maintenance issues
  • Responsible for doing inventory every month
  • Ensure payroll duties are accurately completed

Here's how we'll know you'll be successful in the role.

  • Minimum of 5 years in the Hospitality industry, food service management experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, work with, and develop direct reports and frontline staff during times of change and shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in Mircrosoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exhibits creative problemsolving skills: is able to think "outside of the box."
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Advanced Food Safety, Food Handler, ServSafe, or equivalent food safety certified
  • Detailoriented and ability to multitask
  • Highly responsible and trustworthy individual
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Good client relationship skills
