Saskatchewan Blue Cross, one of Saskatchewan's Top Employers, is currently recruiting for a full-time permanent _Project Manager_ to join our team in the Project Management Office (PMO).

This position offers the flexibility to be in-office or participate in hybrid options in our Saskatoon or Regina office.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects from initiation through to completion within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints
  • Analyze project scope to make recommendations on estimated time frames and appropriate processes for accomplishing work
  • Work with leadership to identify opportunities and establish objectives for assigned projects
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, required activities and tasks, and prepare the appropriate planning documents
  • Implement project communication plans and ensure continuous, clear, concise, and timely communication with respect to decisions and changes
  • Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans
  • Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality, and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" in line with PMO guidelines and approach
  • Manage project plans to ensure timelines and key milestones are met and in line with business objectives and identify obstacles and solutions to challenges
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
  • Plan the daytoday management of the business analysis, design, schedules, resource requirements, development, and testing tasks
  • Create and maintain project documentation including charters, decision documents, risk/issue/action registers, change requests, and status reports
  • Adhere to PMO directed standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation
  • Oversee the test plan development process ensuring thoroughness and that they meet defined objectives
  • Conduct impact analysis, and prepare statistical and narrative reports
  • Actively lead project review meetings and deliver regular status updates to the PMO Manager and Project Sponsor
  • Review and coordinate work plans with external service providers or consultants contracted to execute projects
  • Oversee the development of user training documentation to ensure effective and efficient use of new and existing technologies
  • Support change management and work with teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan
  • Assist in determining an action plan to support the integration of projects into daily workflow
  • Participate on committees as required
  • Perform other related projects and duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • A proficient understanding of and working knowledge of project management methodology and experience or familiarity with major defined PM approaches (i.e. PMI and Agile)
  • Proven experience managing IT Infrastructure, system integration, digital, and business process projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both the user community and IT, and expertise in setting and managing customer expectations
  • Proven analytical, decision making and problemsolving skills, including the ability to recognize challenges, identify causes, and provide solutions
  • Effective influencing and negotiating skills in a collaborative manner in an environment where this role may not directly control resources
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Good understanding of current and emerging technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a project resource plan that ensures that the right people are in the right place doing the right things at the right time
