Reporting to the Senior Driver Trainer, this position is responsible for instructing the fundamental skills of the Motorcoach, Industrial and Site Shuttle Bus Driver operations.

As a driver trainer are required to direct, supervise, and work with new hires during their recruitment and training program.


Work Shift:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Some travel may be required (30%).


Job Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Participate in the company recruitment and training programs for new hires
  • Complete new and current driver evaluations
  • Assist in the development of instructional material and supplementary course materials
  • Complete post incident evaluations, returntowork and preemployment check rides
  • Review and monitor driving performance with new hires
  • Report on progress of trainees/trainers weekly
  • Participate in route assessments as necessary
  • Assist with online training orientations as needed
  • Complete Drug & Alcohol and Physical Demands Analysists as needed

Qualifications & Skills Required:


  • Technical aptitude with the ability to operate in multiple systems, including Trackit, MDT Navigation Systems, Microsoft Office programs, Outlook, etc.
  • Professionalism and decorum as it pertains to sensitive personal information
  • Clean Driving Abstract
  • Experience in teaching, facilitation, or as an instructor both classroom and field experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience

Education Requirements:


  • Class 1 or 2Q license is required
  • An certificate or diploma in Adult Education and/or Training and/or Adult Learning Certification would be considered an asset
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered
