Paramount Pallets are looking for a new Hunter/Sales Leader or "Business Development Manager" (BDM).

The primary function of this role requires an experienced hunter, sales leader to generate new business and manage accounts throughout the GTA region.

As a key member of the Sales Team, the BDM is responsible for development and performance of all sales activities and leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company objectives:
This role is a full‐time position located in Whitby with travel from time to time to other cities.

  • Hunting and generating new business.
  • Management of the accounts and business you generate.
  • Provide forecasting for all new and future customer base as well as variance reporting.
  • Provide strategic direction to drive both service and cost saving initiatives.

Responsibilities and Key Tasks:


Sales, Business Development and Account Management

  • Generate new sales for products or services by cold calling and act on and close sales leads generated from inbound inquiries via the website, telephone and HubSpot.
  • Achieve regional sales and operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans and quotas.
  • Maintain and expand customer base by collaborating with the sales team; building and maintaining rapport with key customers.

Experience
years' hunter sales experience in a business development role in logistics or manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in developing and carrying out business plans, sales plans.
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales and results (CSP designation is ideal).
  • Able to travel.

  • Ability to deliver and develop presentations at a senior level.
  • Ability to lead projects / develop new solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to listen and understand others.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to manage effectively in a fastpaced business with simultaneous priorities.
  • Decision quality is high; innovative thinker and able to resolve business issues
  • College diploma or equivalent is an asset but not a requirement.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, strong in Excel and PowerPoint.
