Howe Sound Pulp and Paper has an immediate opportunity for a full-time, permanent Pipefitter at our Port Mellon facility.

Our Maintenance personnel are responsible for the safe maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment and systems to ensure optimum production.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Pipefitter / Gasfitter Certification
5+ years of experience working within an industrial setting; pulp and paper environment an asset
Experience installing, maintaining and repairing water and waste disposal systems
Superior troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to disassemble and reassemble system components as required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate of $47.25 as per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement
Overtime is compensated per the Howe Sound Labour Agreement
Comprehensive benefits package including extended health/dental coverage and pension.
