Description

Duties:

Analyze construction drawings and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for projects
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
Conduct site visits to assess project scope and identify potential challenges or opportunities
Utilize construction estimating software to create detailed cost breakdowns and proposals
Prepare and submit bids to clients, ensuring all necessary documentation is included
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services
Use bidding software to work on business development, finding more project opportunities
Drive to locations in the GTA to take measurements and perform site visits for estimating purposes
Main office is located in Burlington, ON

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating or related field
Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, materials, and methods
Proficiency in using construction estimating software
Familiarity with project management principles and techniques
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to accurately calculate costs and quantities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication and negotiation abilities
