Position Summary:


Are you an analytical thinker with a strong background in
mechanical or electrical fields within the commercial sector? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as an Estimator at EDL Building Solutions.

You will play a pivotal role in accurately assessing project requirements and costs, contributing to our mission of delivering peace of mind to our diverse range of clients.

Performance Objectives:


  • Review project specifications and collaborate with stakeholders to understand project scope.
  • Analyze plans to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical and electrical projects using advanced software tools.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Present detailed proposals to clients, showcasing project scope, costs, and timelines in person or virtually.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database to enhance estimating accuracy.
  • Attend, contribute to, and demonstrate top performance in daily sales training and development courses offered by the company.

Capabilities / Key Competencies:


  • Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and tools such as Accubid, Bluebeam, or AutoBID.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

Education & Experience:

Journeyman certificate in Sheet Metal

Controls, automation, and building systems experience is an asset
:

Equivalent experience in a previous estimation role.

Working Conditions:


  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client and job sites as needed.

Pay:
$80,000.00-$165,000.00 per year
