Description

Document the receiving of materials. Prepare the documents required for the shipment of goods, call the transport services and invoice orders. Package the goods and prepare the documents for courrier services.

Main responsibilities:

Ships and receives goods and keeps required records; responsible to stay when notified that shipment is arriving
Maintain shipping logs
Verify and take samples of incoming materials upon reception.
Inspects goods and trucks upon material receipt and shipment to ensure compliance with established requirements.
Assembles customer orders according to itemized listings and prepares orders for shipment according to established requirements.
Compares quantity and identification numbers of goods against orders to ensure accuracy.
Warehouses goods while respecting the unique storage requirements of some products such as the need to be kept frozen, refrigerated and segregated from other products.
Respects stock rotation and utilization of required goods in lot and batch controlled environment.
Safely operates forklift trucks in manufacturing departments as well as in warehouse areas and aisles.
Responds to requests for raw & packaging materials from Packaging and Production department personnel.
Secures skid loads with required wrapping, strapping and affixes required labels or identification marks.
Observes company policies and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Strong attention to detail
Forklift Certification required
Pallet jack experience
Command of Microsoft Word /Excel
Good verbal communication skills
Able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs pounds
