The Executive Vice Dean and Associate Vice President (Academic) (EVD-AVPA) works in tandem with the Dean and Vice President, Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) to manage the academic and operational functions of the Faculty.

The EVD-AVPA works in close collaboration with the Provost and Vice President (Academic), Vice Provosts, Faculty Deans, and other senior leaders across the University.

Within FHS, the EVD-AVPA works closely with the Associate Vice President (Global Health), Vice Deans, Associate Deans, Department Chairs, the Assistant Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and oversees the Health Sciences Library and Faculty Secretariat.


As the EVD-AVPA, you will champion equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous Reconciliation principles across all the Faculty of Health Sciences.

You will work collaboratively with all leaders within FHS to provide mentorship and guidance related to university and FHS academic policies and procedures and to enable their strategic and operational objectives.


The successful applicant will have broad administrative and senior leadership experience within the Faculty of Health Sciences and the broader University and will have a collaborative and collegial style, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
