As a member of Professional Practice leadership team, the Clinical Resource Team (CRT) Clinical Educator role supports the Hospital's strategic plan and corporate goals and objectives.

Reporting to the Director of Professional Practice, the Clinical Educator role functions as a practitioner, consultant, educator and facilitator for all CRT team members.

Key to this role is identification of staff learning needs followed by development, implementation, and evaluation of programs.

Apart from program specific responsibilities, the Clinical Educator provides consultation and support throughout the organziation and participates in Hospital-wide educational initiatives, working groups, or committees, as required.


Q Qualifications:


  • Current registration with the College of Nurse of Ontario and in good standing
  • Completion of a Master's degree program or in progress
  • Minimum five years medical/surgical clinical experience including
  • Experience working with an interprofessional team
  • Previous experience in developing and delivering educational programs
  • Computer skills, i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, and Prezi
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills both written and verbal
  • Proven commitment to evidence based practice and reflective practice
  • Understanding of adult education techniques and ability to prepare and teach in both classroom and clinical settings
  • Ability to coach, mentor and provide feedback while fostering a positive work culture
  • Strong critical thinking, decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Commitment to evidencebased practice and quality improvement
  • Good project management and process improvement skills
