What you will do:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, repair or replace defective parts, and make suggestions for potential improvements,
- Follow preventative maintenance programs and maintain records,
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery,
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and lift trucks,
- Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures, inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions,
- Performs other duties as required
Your qualifications:
- High school diploma
- A minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Overhead crane and forklift training and operation experience
- Repairing and maintaining fabrication shop equipment and hand tools
- Experience working at heights
What you bring to the position:
- Knowledge of all tools and equipment and their use
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
- Time management, organizational and problem solving skills
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 kg.
