    About the role

    We're looking for a Software Development Specialist to join our growing team

    What you'll do here:


    Improve and develop software systems to meet users' needs by finding solutions, solving complex problems, coding, testing, debugging and documenting systems.

    Take part in Production Support activities, troubleshooting production issues, performance bottlenecks and identifying fixes for the same.

    Guides, mentors and coaches the team members in various development and technical activities.

    Lead (Analysis/design/realization) an initiative involving a development team.

    Take part in all project phases to ensure completion by collaborating with users and communicating status reports.

    Provide deployment support for production systems to guarantee their functionality.

    Ensure systems are optimal and meet quality standards by analyzing, providing suggestions and developing assessments.

    Make recommendations and participate in improving development and system maintenance processes.

    Apply the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) development methodology to ensure standards are met.

    What you bring to the table:

    Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or any combination of equivalent education and experience

    9-12 years of development experience

    Proven success as a technical team leader with mentoring and coaching the development team

    Ability to analyze and synthesize data

    Initiative and ability to work under pressure


    You have 8+ years of software design and development experience involving n-tier web applications using Java and Java-based application frameworks.


    You have 6+ years of experience building server-side apps using Java 11+, Spring Boot and creating web services or APIs using REST.

    You have a great level of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design experience.


    You have the expertise on Service Oriented Architecture, Mesh App and Service Architecture, experience in microservices, event-driven implementation using Kafka.


    You have 3+ years of experience with relational databases such as Oracle 11+, PL/SQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Elasticsearch.

    No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.

    A good level of experience in these relevant areas is preferred:

    Source control using GitHub

    Coding using IntelliJ, WebStorm (or Visual Studio Code)

    Build automation using Maven (and/or Gradle)

    Testing using JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine / Jest, Postman / SoapUI

    Code quality using SonarQube, FindBugs, CheckStyle

    Software packaging using docker containers

    Deploying in to OpenShift/Kubernetes

    Application performance analysis and optimization

    Collaborating in an Agile Scrum/Kanban environment

    No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.

    Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

    Nice to Have Skills:

    Knowledge/experience on Git Co-Pilot , Dynatrace, CLM.

    Knowledge and work experience in front-end technologies (Angular 8+, Typescript, HTML 5 and CSS 3)

    Angular Material UI component library
