Job Title: 2nd/3rd Year Carpenter's Apprentice
Location:
Various Job Sites throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.

Position Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Independently perform and assist skilled carpenters and trades with various construction projects.
- Take initiative to prepare and set up job sites, including organizing materials and tools.
- Manage material inventory and secure equipment at each job site with mínimal oversight.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and equipment.
- Support complex construction tasks, including floor coverings, advanced framing, finished carpentry, concrete finishing, exterior cladding, deck building, and window and door installations.
- Safely operate hand and power tools with proficiency.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood, metal, and other materials with precision.
- Install fixtures such as windows, frames, flooring, and trim with mínimal guidance.
- Assemble and install structures such as walls and decks with limited supervision.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, guidelines, and company policies.
- Effectively communicate with team members, subcontractors, and homeowners to ensure smooth operations.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support project goals.
Requirements:
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor.
- Capable of working independently without direct supervision and/or as part of a team.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with hand and power tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation to various job sites.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and proven reliability.
- Eagerness to take on more complex tasks and further develop carpentry skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 12 years of experience as a Carpenter's Apprentice, with a proven track record of having the ability to work unsupervised.
Working Conditions:
- Work assignments can take place either indoors and/or outdoors, and the employee is expected to be dressed and ready for all possible working environments.
- Physically demanding work environment with tasks that may require proficiency in using a variety of construction equipment.
Compensation:
$23-$26/hour depending on experience including 1.5X overtime as per Alberta Labor Standards.
Pay:
$23.00-$26.00 per hour
