    NOW HIRING: Collision Technician

    LOCATION: Centennial Carstar Dartmouth, Dartmouth, NS

    HOURS: Full time, Permanent. 40 hours per week.

    WAGES: $ $35.00 per hour (option for flat rate) + benefits. Negotiable based on experience.

    APPLICABLE SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must have Red Seal Endorsement for Collision Repair
    • Possess technical knowledge of auto body collision and mechanical repairs
    • Previous collision technician experience is required
    • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Organized and capable of multitasking and prioritizing
    • Physically capable (standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, etc.)
    • Reliable and shows initiative
    • Must have a valid driver's license

    MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Review damage reports and estimates to plan repair work accordingly.
    • Remove and replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
    • Replace front-end components, body components, doors, frames, and underbody components.
    • Repair damaged panels, metal work, filling, and priming in preparation for paint.
    • Utilize pull equipment for panel alignment and fitting.
    • Use plastic welding equipment.
    • Ability to complete minor to major repairs, including removal and installation of trim panels and body panels.
    • Inspect repaired vehicles and conduct test drives to ensure proper handling and function.
    • Document repairs performed effectively.
    • Maintain a clean work environment.
    • Openness to learn new repair methods and operate new body repair equipment.
    • Possession of own tools (specialty tools provided by the shop as needed).
