Description
Patriot Forge Co. supplies carbon, alloy and stainless steel forgings with heat treatment, machining and testing.


Through continual upgrades, Patriot Forge has been able to enhance our manufacturing capabilities to better serve the needs of our ever evolving customer base.

We are currently recruiting Machine Operators to join our team.


Responsibilities:


  • Set up and operate manual machine tools and equipment
  • Drill large holes through shaft type product according to customer orders
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Set up and operate center drilling machine
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts for material handling
  • Read and interpret measuring equipment. Tape measure and vernier's
  • Maintain equipment is a safe and productive condition, including but not limited to, routine lubrication, cleaning and maintaining coolant levels
  • Practice excellent general housekeeping, including but not limited to, cleaning work area, chip removal, floor areas, benches and storage areas to ensure a safe working environment
  • Maintain measuring instruments in proper working condition by regular cleaning and storing instruments in a safe location both during and after use
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Work various shifts as required

Experience/Skills/Education:

  • High School diploma and or continued education
  • Previous experience working on any type of machinery
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment (overhead cranes and forklifts) and the safe handling of large objects would be an asset
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Simple addition and subtraction of decimal and fractional numbers
  • Demonstrated communication, problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills
