The Electrician Supervisor will provide strategic operational oversight for all production operating facilities with presence in multiple regions or degree of complexity. In this role, the supervisor will oversee and hold facilities accountable to standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.
Key Accountabilities
Coordinate daily department workflow assignments execution and ensure compliance to weekly schedules and work order closure.
Execute routine operations of assigned area, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures related to safety and environmental standards.
Collaborate with production supervisors to meet customer specifications and timelines.
Develop operational plans and monitor production processes for multiple departments, processes, and shifts.
Supervise and provide coaching to direct reports, focusing on company core values and principles.
Read and interpret design schematics for proper installation of electrical systems.
Troubleshoot system failures and equipment malfunctions, perform analysis, and report findings.
Make personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for direct reports.
Engage in tasks alongside team members as needed.
Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Diploma/Certificate or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
One year of directly related work experience.
Proven experience as an electrical supervisor.
Knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
Familiarity with state electrical and safety codes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and SAP.
Red seal electrician certification.
Understanding of electrical systems (MCC, MDP, MVI).
Legal authorization to work for Cargill in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of supervisory experience.
Red Seal Alberta Journeyman Certification.
Experience in Automation and HVAC systems.
Ability to work with CMMS (maintenance schedule program).
Proficient in all electrical disciplines.
