General Summary:


Under the general direction of the Director, Driver Happiness, the Driver Happiness Specialist is responsible for the effective onboarding of new drivers as well as the ongoing management of the existing GoFor driver community.

The Specialist will provide the central point of accountability for all driver recruiting and retention and support the Company's efforts to establish itself as a prominent organization for drivers to want to work with.

The role includes responsibilities for ensuring the differentiation of our company from our competition by how we value and appreciate our driver community and executing the ongoing training and certification program for all drivers to help them perform their duties.

The Driver Happiness Specialist will do this by effectively coaching and guiding our driver community.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that drivers upload necessary documents onto our ATS software and that driver background checks are completed and reviewed.
  • Review and validate driver insurance and vehicle registration documents for eligibility.
  • Recruiting and interviewing potential applicants on experience, skills, and education
  • Ensuring legal compliance for divers with federal, state or provincial requirements across North America
  • Onboarding, training, and development for new and existing delivery partners.
  • Posting of ADs on multiple channels and report on results.
  • Resolve driver onboarding setbacks by determining the root cause and explaining the best solution to solve the problem at hand.
  • Provide feedback that you receive from current or prospective drivers to your manager to ensure that GoFor is continually meeting our partner's needs.
  • Help source and onboard specialty vehicles.
  • Prepare driver reports by collecting and analyzing driver information, start dates, vehicles etc.
  • Maintain driver records by updating profile information both on Fountain and Monday.
  • Collaborate in the development of new programs for the driver community
  • Representing employer in community and recruiting events
  • Promoting the mission and values of the organization both internally and externally.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 35 years' working experience in Logistics and/or transportation management including driver management is required.
  • Possess the following personal qualities: integrity, creativity, high standards, commitment, ethical values, and achievement oriented.
  • Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, writing, speaking and presenting.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with key business partners, and employees.
  • Able to create realistic schedules and meet deadlines under stress and interruptions.
  • Confident with decision making.
  • Critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.

Working Conditions:
The Driver Happiness Specialist works in an office setting with travel throughout the US and Canada as required.
