Assist in class exercises and support research projects
Technologist diploma or equivalent apprentice-level education required

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for class exercises and assist instructors
• Support applied research projects and prepare materials for research activities
• Ensure maintenance and repairs of equipment
• Demonstrate equipment operation and provide training
• Ensure safety and security of the facility
• Receive, store, and dispense consumable items
• Provide research and recommendations for purchasing supplies and equipment
• Maintain inventory record and maintenance scheduling system
• Contribute to a positive work and learning environment

Requirements

• Technologist diploma or equivalent apprentice-level combination of education and experience
• Three years recent/relevant experience in a technical or engineering environment
• Member of/or eligible for certification with relevant certifying body
• Experience with program-relevant software and equipment
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong data and records management skills
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Experience with internet, email, MS Office Suite software
• Ability to function as an effective team member
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Understanding and valuing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
