Our organization


The Edmonton Soccer Association Facilities (ESAF) is a not-for-profit organization and is a partnership of Edmonton Minor Soccer Association (EMSA) and Edmonton & District Soccer Association (EDSA).

Our objectives are to develop and operate both indoor and outdoor soccer facilities in Edmonton.

The Facility Supervisor plans, organizes, directs, controls and evaluates the operation of their designated centre. They report directly to the CEO, providing monthly reports on all facets of operations (maintenance, revenue/expenditures, etc.).


The Facility Supervisor also liaise with the CEO, Financial Controller, Administration Manager, Administrator and Maintenance Manager on all matters pertinent to their particular area of expertise and responsibility.

Salary is commensurate based on experience.


Main Responsibilities
A. Building Operations


Janitorial:
Ensures building is being cleaned properly

  • Identifies problem areas and discusses with _CEO or contacts janitorial company directly for minor issues_;
  • Daily check of facility, indoors and parking lot areas;
  • Spot checks that all janitorial contracted duties are being performed properly and on a timely basis

Rentals/Bookings:
Confers daily with _Administration _regarding Facility Usage

  • Processes payments, issues receipts as per request from the _Administration_;
  • Updates scheduled events for evening and weekend staff, which includes assigning dressing rooms and printing out schedules for parttime staff
  • Supervises/allocates fields for daytime users

Daytime Operations:

  • Responsible for all orders, deliveries & inquiries directly related to the facility;
  • Responsible for Community Service Workers and delegation of duties;
  • Fields all lost & found inquiries, organizes donation of unclaimed articles to local charities
B. Facility Budget

Assists in planning and monitoring of expenditures for all departments:

  • Maintenance (in consultation with _Maintenance Manager_);
  • Lounge/Control room;
  • Janitorial supplies;
  • Staffing levels;
  • Allocation and administration of keys, (see Paragraph F) except Maintenance keys (looked after by _Maintenance Manager)_

Budget/Expense Management:

  • Control facility costs wherever possible
  • Answer questions from CEO or Financial Controller on budget discrepancies
  • Prepare daily revenue summaries of concession sales
  • Provide input in annual budgeting relative to facility operations

Manages Facility Staff:

  • Oversees/assesses staffing needs in all departments

Scheduling & discipline of:
- _Primary (PA) and Secondary Attendants (SA)_
- _Building Attendants_
- _Lounge Attendants_
- _Control Room Attendants_

Ensures, with the assistance of _Administrator,_ the recruitment and proper training of all staff


Provides/assists _Administrator_ with:
- yearly staff evaluations/performance appraisals;
- staff discipline/incentives

D. Discipline

Reports to _Administrator _all incidents requiring disciplinary action (facility damage, abusive behavior, etc.);

  • Ensures all facility bans are upheld with assistance of _CEO_;
  • Updates _Primary Attendant_ regarding all bans & fines imposed
E. Inventory

  • Records daily inventory;
  • Reports any "spoilage" and returns;
  • Controls/monitors staff purchases at concession;
  • Responsible for "warehouse to store" transfers;
  • Prepares deposits for secure transfers;
  • Monitors ATM Machine and reports cash requirements to the _Financial Controller_;
  • Investigates any monthly lounge inventory discrepancies in coordination with Assistant Accountant
F. Other Responsibilities


ESC Keys:
I. Signs out keys to staff (once authorization is obtained);
II. Maintains and updates key distribution;
III. Request repairs and additional keys from City of Edmonton and Edmonton Soccer Association Facilities;


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$47,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

Experience:


  • Supervising: 1 year (preferred)
Staff Scheduling: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification (preferred)
  • ProServe (preferred)
