Position:
Cooks (various positions)


JOB OVERVIEW:

The cook position is a key rolein the functioning of the hotel's restaurant, room service and banquet revenue centers.

Cooks are key in providing guests with exceptional culinary experiences in all areas of the hotel.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Ensure that food is stored properly and meets safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
  • Assist with food preparation tasks as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow proper food handling procedures and adhere to food safety guidelines
  • Other duties as required

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Previous experience working as a Cook in a restaurant or food service establishment
  • Culinary management diploma or cooking certificate is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to work morning, evening, latenight and weekends

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have valid Food Handles Certificate
  • Graduated from or currently enrolled in a Culinary Program
  • Senior positions require Red Seal Certification

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Pay:
$17.50-$21.75 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Handler Certification (preferred)

Work Location:
In person
