Summary of position
The Operator is responsible for the production of their assigned line, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. This includes the operation of automated and/or semi-automated equipment and providing direction to other colleagues assigned to the line.

The Operator is also accountable for transferring components and product to and from production lines when required, in addition to cleaning the assigned operating area and equipment.

Here are some of the different activities you'll be asked to do:

Perform various machine functions and processes on the line that has been assigned, closely following the instructions on the work-order for the specific job
Conduct proper testing methods for the packages produced on the assigned equipment.
Responsible for changing film, filling hoppers, and supplying materials to the packaging lines when required.
Responsible to ensure proper cleanup activities are complete.
Maintain a strong knowledge and understanding of the electrics and mechanics of the assigned equipment, and the packaging materials used on that equipment.
Communicate any issues and/or ideas for improving effectiveness, quality, safety and equipment performance to supervisor.
Provide direction to Packers regarding safety, quality, and production.
Work with other functional areas as required to ensure quality of product and production rates are met.
Complete all required Quality Assurance paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Lead process and safety training and guidance of new Operators/Packers.

If you've got:

A high school diploma
35 years of experience in general packaging operations, or 12 years of experience in direct pharmaceutical packaging operations
The ability to work or rotate multiple shifts including days, afternoons, midnights, weekend, continental
